Nuclear Medicine involves the use of radioactive materials (tracers) to help diagnose and treat a wide array of diseases and disorders.

Currently, Nuclear Medicine departments can be found in 20+ BC hospitals and it is fast becoming a globally recognized alternative to other diagnostic testes that determine the presence of disease based on structural appearance. With the use of specialized equipment, Nuclear medicine determines the cause of the medical problem based on the function of the organ, tissue or bone.

However, even though it is rapidly becoming a world renounced field, Nuclear Medicine is underutilized as many practicing physicians are unaccustomed to this modern medicine.
